The concept and technology of sportswear
As far as consumers are concerned, the functions of casual and sportswear are different from those of professional athletes, emphasizing easy maintenance, waterproof and windproof comfort. In order to improve consumer purchasing behavior, manufacturers of peripheral equipment have also joined the sales line, such as hygiene and UV resistant protective fabrics. In order to meet the increasing functional demand, weavers and chemical additive manufacturers are constantly developing new fibers and finishing products. Polyester and nylon ultrafine fibers have developed the fastest, and high-density and waterproof fabrics are widely used in casual wear. As long as the position is right, each product has its own characteristics and can fully utilize its functions. Manufacturers of sportswear must measure the entire system from a macro perspective, from yarn to retailers, and each level must cooperate with each other to master the four basic functional elements of sportswear in order to maximize efficiency.
1. Isolation function: keep warm.
2. Protective function: windproof and waterproof.
3. Moisture permeability and breathability: Ensure that the heat emitted by the human body can be expelled through the fabric.
4. Elastic function: Providing athletes with the need to run and jump is a depiction of functional sportswear and casual clothing, and is a philosophy of interaction between the human body and clothing, presenting comfortable, healthy, and high-performance characteristics in the human body. To concretize it, it is necessary to fully understand various parameters and integration techniques such as fiber, spinning and weaving, fabric density, thickness, weight, color, and finished clothing. It is wrong to use only one evaluation criterion to measure the quality of functionality. Generally speaking, the body, climate environment, and clothing will affect each other. The body remains unchanged, while clothing is variable. Under normal conditions, the human body operates at 37 ℃. During exercise, body temperature rises and is restored to normal through sweating function. The moisture formed by sweating must be absorbed through fabric penetration before being expelled from the body. If the body heat and moisture cannot be expelled and collide back and forth between the human body and clothing, it will cause an uncomfortable feeling. The human sweat wicking function is a normal behavioral response, so the comfort level is closely related to the fabric, which is the consumer's demand for moisture absorption and sweat wicking. Most fibers can quickly expel moisture from the skin to the surface of fabrics when in a dry state. But the biggest problem is' sweating '. Compared to synthetic fibers, natural fibers have better moisture absorption, but the feeling of being wet, cold, and sticky is very uncomfortable because moisture and sweat cannot be eliminated through the fibers. So comfortable fabrics must meet the following requirements:
1. Odorless and non irritating to the skin.
2. Good moisture absorption and permeability.
3. Durable waterproof and anti fouling functions.
4. Good extensibility, does not affect the body's extension.
5. Like skin, it can regulate temperature and humidity to maintain a comfortable feeling.
Moisture permeable fabrics: In addition to the relationship between the human body and clothing, comfort fabrics also need to pay attention to climate and environmental factors to meet the functions and sensations of human skin. Fabrics must be fixed to various changes in climate and environment. The main function of sportswear is to isolate harsh environments from direct contact with the human body and provide protective effects. Like windproof, waterproof In order to avoid external climate invasion, most woven fabrics are coated with PVC to achieve waterproof effect, but it has negative effects such as lack of breathability, sweating, inability to eliminate, and uncomfortable feeling. And the inability to sweat is the biggest drawback of sportswear. Knitted fabrics are different. In addition to their stretchability, they also have a breathable effect. Double sided fabrics have the best effect and will not tightly adhere to the skin. Generally, the inner layer material is processed silk or short fibers made of artificial fibers.
The function of clothing comfort is related to the material, thickness and amount of air layer, thickness of waterproof layer, and breathability. In terms of material, cotton fiber has better moisture absorption and is easy to absorb sweat and come into contact with the skin, which can easily cause a chill. However, artificial fibers, especially ultrafine fibers, have a large surface area, strong capillary action, porous properties, and temperature regulating effect. They have a soft hand feel, making them more suitable for the functional needs of sportswear.
